Innalillahi Wa Inna Illaihi Rajiun, goodbye Oma...
Indonesia once again mourned the loss of one of it's best artists. Senior actress Ida Kusuma, who is fondly called Oma because of her role in Cinta Fitri, passed away on thursday 25th November 2010 whilst on location for a shoot at Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. Her sudden death caused a lot of shock to many people especially to MD Entertainment and the cast of CF as she was considered to be like a family member.
On that night, Oma took her last breath and left this world at the age of 71. The entire crew and cast went to Puri Cinere hospital where the doctor announced her demise. Trying to be real strong, almost everyone present over there couldn't control their tears from falling over their Oma leaving them forever.
Manoj Punjabi, the producer and owner of MD Entertainment, was deeply saddened by the death of Ida Kusumah. "Oma wasn't just an actress, she was part of my family. She was a big part of MD Entertainment. She completed CF and now CF will never feel complete without her" said Manoj sadly.
Yes, Ida Kusumah was an icon not just to MD Entertainment and CF but also to the Indonesian film industry. The word "legend" is just apt for her. Goodbye Oma, Goodbye Ida Kusumah. May your soul forever rest in peace. Amen.
